Jiri Kratky

was born in 1964 in Vyškov, Czech Republic, spent his childhood close to the Czech-German border in Rotava, a small town in the Karlovy Vary region

was born into a family with an authoritarian father, experienced harsh parenting methods, constant stress, speech disorders, a very emotional environment

from the age of 12 he attended a weightlifting club and practiced martial arts - he longed for a state when he would no longer be the subject to physical violence and bullying

he became almost two meters tall, and turned out to be a fearless and disciplined person thanks to his efforts and will

from the age of 14 he became independent and took responsibility for his life

graduated from "Skoda" in Pilsen as an electromechanic

during the period of military service at the age of 18 to 20 years old he devoted himself to boxing, judo, karate and physical training and made great advances in it

he remained faithful to the sport and martial arts for the next 6 years

an important milestone was entering the training camp of the French Legion, where he successfully completed training in the Pyrenees and was one of the few who withstood the extremely difficult training conditions

he returned to the Czech Republic after a while and started working and training in Prague

was prepared and trained as a bodyguard with experience and orientation in crisis situations, has worked with a number of prominent clients whose names are confidential

worked all over the world, as a result - always satisfied clients

during his study in a secondary school, he had felt that he had a talent for painting and drawing

what pushed him most towards painting and his own creativity was contact with his sister’s friend, who had a studio and practiced oil painting; it helped to become familiar with smells, work procedures, materials and his own sense of enjoyment of a completed artistic work

years of accumulated stress and tension took its toll on his health and in 2014 he was diagnosed with heart failure with 80% cardiac paralysis

this condition led to a complete lifestyle change, especially in the approach to the time at his disposal

during the same period he built his own studio and began to conceptually create oil paintings and look for his own style, technique and materials

created about 200 paintings with various motives in ten years

there are several collectors who collect his paintings today,in 2024, and he works exclusively on his own concepts and creations

regularly donates his paintings to Doctors Without Borders through voluntary auctions because he understands the necessity to support militarily challenging areas around the world

despite all the difficulties and obstacles encountered on his life's path, he is a positive-minded person leading a full social life in the center of the Old Town of Prague

he is able to draw with both left and right hands

lifestyle changes and responsible approach to ongoing treatment and observation at the IKEM in Prague, lead to stabilization of the problem and allow to lead a full life with reasonable restrictions
